In progress - Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. We will provide updates as necessary.
Oct 30, 2025 - 17:00 CDT
Scheduled - Effective Dates/Time: 2025-10-30 5:00pm ET Environments: PRODUCTION Scope: eHealth Exchange Hub Event Type: Hub Maintenance Activity
Description: An update to the Conformance Validation background task.
Scope: This change will be applied to the eHealth Exchange Hub PRODUCTION environment as outlined above.
Impact: We do not anticipate any service interruptions during the Thursday maintenance event; Real-time routing of messages through the PRODUCTION Hub will be unaffected.
Support: eHealth Exchange staff will monitor administrator@ehealthexchange.org during the upgrade window to address any questions or concerns.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND REMINDERS: The eHealth Exchange Hub team has implemented a recurring weekly scheduled maintenance window each Thursday evening at 5:00pm ET for all non-urgent events. The duration of each maintenance event will be determined by the respective changes for each event, and details will be communicated to all Participants at least 48 hours prior to the event. If there are no changes for any given week, then the maintenance event will not occur, and no notice will be sent. Also please note that Operating System and similar updates that do not require a service outage, and do not require changes to the application layer, will be performed during this scheduled maintenance window without specific notice due to their frequent and routine nature.

Unresolved incident: eHealth Exchange - Notice of Operational Change 10/30/2025 5:00pm EST.
Resolved -
On Friday 10/25/2025, the Health Gorilla Lab Network product experienced a disconnection to all lab vendors. Our engineering teams identified the disconnection event and re-established connectivity to all labs. Your users may have experienced a response to an order indicating that it could not be placed. If you have an API integration, you may have experienced 4xx-level responses during the disruption.

Resolved -
AWS has resolved the issues that caused the performance issues in both UI and API.
Oct 21, 15:53 CDT
Monitoring -
Our services are recovered, as have messaging services. Our service provider has resolved the issue and upstream services are recovering as well. You should see less service disruptions as the individual data centers and availability zones recover fully.
Oct 20, 16:50 CDT
Identified -
The Health Gorilla systems, including both UI and APIs, are currently being impacted by the AWS Service issues. You may see slow or unresponsive UI behavior, and API calls may have slow responses, or may receive 5xx level disconnects. We will update this page when we receive additional information from AWS.

Identified -
In order to resolve the performance degradation issues with our UI and API, Health Gorilla is undergoing database maintenance. Initial UI login will take longer than normal, but moving through the UI screens should speed up. This maintenance will be completed this weekend.

Investigating -
We are currently investigating a performance degradation issue that was first identified at 13:37pmCT on 10/15/2025. This may impact both UI users and API queries and responses.

Scheduled -
Health Gorilla is taking the next step in our migration from Commonwell 1.0 to Commonwell 2.0 this weekend. On Sunday, 10/19/2025, Health Gorilla will disable Commonwell enrollment functionality, as well as Commonwell-targeted querying functionality. The following API calls will be disabled: - Patient endpoint using $cw-search, $cw-lookup, and $cw-enroll - DocumentReference endpoint using $cw-search
Why are we doing this? We will be temporarily be connecting to Commonwell via Carequality and TEFCA while we work the integration with their new platform. In the interim these calls will not be necessary.
How will this impact an existing integration? Any existing integration that is utilizing the calls mentioned above will continue to function. Queries will still be performed even if the calls above are deprecated. However, the calls utilizing those $cw extensions will get errors. These errors will not impact your Patient360 queries (specifically the $p360-search and $p360-retrieve operators). Note that if you are performing a DocumentReference query using a $cw-search to specifically target the Commonwell network, that query will not run and you will receive an error.
